In a world obsessed with fast gains I’m building wealth slowly on purpose Here’s why I’ve chosen discipline over speed and how it’s helping me win in the long run

Fast Doesn’t Always Win

Everyone craves fast results Double your portfolio in a month Flip options in a week Retire early after one bull run

But most never pause to realize

Speed creates noise Discipline creates freedom

I’m no longer chasing the fastest way to wealth I’m crafting the most consistent unshakable path I can follow for decades without burnout stress or regret

That clarity came after a painful lesson back in 2019

My Wake-Up Call Selling Early on Bitcoin

In 2019 I had three Bitcoins I bought for under $5 000 each I sold them for a modest $700 profit I thought it was a win

Then 2021 hit Bitcoin exploded to nearly $69 000

That moment shattered my illusion about speed and quick gains

It wasn’t about making fast money

It was about giving assets enough time to reach their full potential

This lesson didn’t just apply to investing

It applied to every part of my life

Why I Chose Discipline Over Speed for My Strategy (MSTR) Journey

That wakeup call transformed my mindset

When I began my $50 per day my Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy) journey I switched from thinking in days or weeks to thinking in decades

But there’s more to the story I don’t just invest on market days

My system is designed for 365 days of investing each year no excuses

That means

  • $50 every market day about 252 days per year automated through Robinhood

  • An extra $100 every Monday to cover weekends

  • $50 manual buys on market holidays to keep the streak unbroken

This approach ensures no days are missed and builds an unshakable habit and compounding advantage over time

That long term frame thinking 20 years ahead became my anchor

  1. Speed Makes You Reactive Discipline Builds Resilience

Moving fast means reacting to headlines hype dips and bursts of market emotion

You buy when others buy

You sell when panic sets in

It’s a rollercoaster of emotion

Discipline rewrites the playbook

Buying $50 of Strategy formerly MicroStrategy every weekday no matter what removes emotion from the equation

It’s no longer about timing the market

It’s about timing your behavior

That shift builds resilience your true competitive edge

  1. Fast Wins Feel Good for a Moment Discipline Feels Right Forever

Fast wins spike dopamine and ego

They’re thrilling but fragile

They come with high risk and fleeting confidence

Discipline often feels boring

But over time it delivers something more valuable

Peace

Confidence

Consistent progress

  1. Discipline Is Mastering Yourself

Fast moves require little self-control momentum carries you

Discipline demands mastery

You learn to master emotions

Let go of ego

Ignore noise

Trust your own vision even when others doubt it

That’s growth Not just financial but personal

Discipline shapes your character as surely as it builds your portfolio

  1. Consistency Beats Brilliance Every Time

Luck may shine for a quarter

But discipline lasts decades

This is the path I’m on

BakoInvest exists because I believe slow steady investing wins

I’m proving it publicly $50 per weekday into Strategy formerly MicroStrategy rain or shine market or no market

  1. The Hardest Discipline Test Not Selling When Strategy formerly MicroStrategy and Bitcoin Hit All Time Highs

Early on the hardest part wasn’t buying It was not selling when prices peaked

Temptation to cash out was real

But my public accountability made selling feel like a betrayal to my family followers and underserved communities I represent

That accountability keeps me locked in

  1. How Public Accountability Helps Others Stay Disciplined

If a bus driver who didn’t speak English and had zero financial privilege can build wealth publicly so can you

This story gives hope and motivation for factory workers refugees immigrants and anyone who feels stuck

  1. Discipline Isn’t Just About Investing It’s Shaping My Life

This discipline permeates everything

I work out five days a week without expecting quick results

Driving bus funds my investing habit

It’s a full lifestyle of consistent patient growth

  1. The Power of Going Slow on Purpose

Going slow means building clarity resilience and protecting yourself from self-sabotage

It means trusting compound growth

Watching others sprint doesn’t distract me

I’m focused on my lane

  1. Tools That Build My Consistency

  • Robinhood automates daily and weekly Strategy formerly MicroStrategy buys

  • Webull charts Strategy formerly MicroStrategy vs BTC and indexes

  • Acorns turns spare change into investments

  • Coinbase is my Bitcoin wallet

  • Crypto.com supports daily stacking with a Visa card

These tools remove decision fatigue and keep me disciplined

  1. Final Thought You Do Not Need Perfect Timing You Need Perfect Behavior

If you feel stuck or lack money that’s fear trying to steal your future

Don’t overthink

Pick a stock you use or believe in Buy it Add more as you grow

Never sell your ownership Borrow cautiously if needed but hold

Start with what you can $1, $5, $10 or $50 a day

The best time to start is now
