How I Automated My $50/Day Investing Strategy (So I Never Miss a Buy)

“Discipline beats motivation. Automation makes sure of it.”
Consistency builds wealth. Emotion destroys it.
That’s why I don’t rely on memory, mood, or motivation to build my MicroStrategy ($MSTR) position.
I use automation because my goals are too important to leave up to chance.
Here is the exact system I use to invest $50 every weekday, $100 every Monday, and $50 manually on every holiday, all without having to think about it.
And if you want to build wealth over the long term, you can copy this blueprint down to the cent.
Why I Automate (And Why Most People Should)
Before I built this system, I used to:
Miss buying days when life got busy
Overthink entries trying to time the market
Let fear or euphoria mess with my long-term goals
Now?
Whether I am working, resting, in traffic, or posting on the blog, my money goes to work every single day.
No emotion. No hesitation. No decisions required.
Because I have learned one truth:
If your strategy depends on willpower, it is already broken.
Step 1: Pick an App That Actually Lets You Automate
Not every platform supports recurring daily investing. Some make it difficult on purpose.
That is why I use Robinhood. It is clean, fast, and lets me schedule both recurring deposits and recurring stock buys.
🔁 Here is what I have set up:
$50 daily recurring buy of MSTR (Monday through Friday)
$100 extra buy every Monday to cover weekends
Manual $50 buys on holidays when the market is closed
Bank paycheck split with 35 percent automatically deposited into Robinhood

If you are using a different app, make sure it lets you set dollar based recurring buys on your schedule.
Automation is useless if you still have to log in and click something.
Step 2: Set Recurring Transfers That Mirror Your Pay Schedule
Automation without funding is just a plan with no fuel.
So I automated the transfer itself.
Thirty five percent of every paycheck I earn as a bus driver goes straight to Robinhood before I even see it.
No negotiation. No temptation. No delay.
Most employers let you split your paycheck into multiple accounts, even if you have never used that feature.
This is your edge.
I treat it like rent, groceries, or a phone bill.
Except instead of paying for something that disappears, I am paying myself first.
Step 3: Automate the Stock Buys Fully
Robinhood lets you automate recurring buys by dollar amount, not just number of shares.
Here is exactly what I set:
Buy $50 of MSTR every weekday
Buy an extra $100 every Monday to cover Saturday and Sunday
Buy $50 manually on every stock market holiday (about 10 to 12 per year)
Visual proof of the 365-day investing system in action

By the end of the year, that adds up to:
252 market days times $50 equals $12,600
52 Mondays times $100 equals $5,200
Around 11 holidays times $50 equals $550
Total: $18,350 per year
Every dollar is accounted for. Every buy has a purpose.
💡 Still reading? That already makes you part of the 1 percent.
Most people never automate. Most people never start.
But you are here. That is proof you are wired different.

The $50/Day Investing Engine
The Engine That Runs Without You:
Thirty five percent of paycheck to Robinhood
Automated $50 buys every weekday
Extra $100 buy every Monday
Manual holiday buys
Weekly portfolio check-in
BakoInvest post updates
Repeat for 20 years
Step 4: Do One Weekly Check In (Not 30)
Automation does not mean neglect. It means efficiency.
Every weekend, I do a quick check in:
I screenshot my Robinhood portfolio
I update my total MSTR share count
I document the progress on BakoInvest.com
That is it.
I am not watching charts. I am not micromanaging candles.
I am building a system that wins through behavior, not brilliance.
If you need to be in control every second, you are not investing. You are gambling.
Tools I Use to Run This Automated System
These are not endorsements. They are what I personally use every day:
🟢 Robinhood - My main MSTR investing platform
🟠 Webull - For optional dip buys and option trades
🟢 Acorns - Automates my spare change into long term investing
⚪ Wix - Where I document every step of this journey
🔵 Crypto.com - For Altcoin holdings on the side
🔵 Coinbase - To onboard beginners who want crypto exposure
If You Want to Copy This System, Start Simple
You do not need $50 a day. You do not need Robinhood. You do not even need to buy MSTR.
But you do need this:
A stock or ETF you believe in
A platform that lets you automate
A small daily amount ($5, $10, or $20)
A recurring transfer from your paycheck
A ten-year time horizon
“I will start when I have more money” is how people stay broke forever.
I started with $1 a day when I had no margin.
Now I invest over $18,000 a year without thinking about it.
✅ Mini Challenge:
Invest $10 in a company you believe in today.
Screenshot it. Save it. You just became an investor.
Most people never take this first step.
But you are not most people.

Why This Works (When Nothing Else Did)
The problem is not that people do not want to invest.
It is that they design systems that break under stress.
Here is why mine does not:
❌ No login required
❌ No manual transfers
❌ No decision fatigue
❌ No chasing price
❌ No performance anxiety
I built the entire strategy to survive bad days, busy seasons, and emotional storms.
Because I am not trying to win the next trade.
I am trying to win the next 20 years.
Your Wealth Is Hiding in Your Behavior
Most people spend more time choosing a phone case than choosing a financial plan.
But you do not need perfect timing.
You need one decision made once, then repeated daily.
Discipline is hard when you depend on memory.
Discipline is easy when you depend on automation.

Whatever you can stay consistent with. Even $5 a day compounds over time.
