No One Believed This Blog Would Matter — Not Even Me

Focused African man blogging on a laptop with bold headline ‘Build Wealth Through Blogging — One Post at a Time’, symbolizing digital ownership and consistency.
Most people scroll. I publish. Every post is a share in my future.

I Didn’t Start This to Get Rich. I Started It to Survive.

I didn’t launch BakoInvest to become famous. I didn’t even think it would change my life.

I just needed something that didn’t talk back.

At the time, I was a full-time bus driver. Working long shifts. Going through arguments at home. Feeling like my life was stalling while the world sped by.

I didn’t have a media background. I didn’t go to Harvard. I wasn’t funded. I had no audience. No team.

But I had two things:

→ A $50/day DCA plan into one stock — MicroStrategy (MSTR)

→ And the discipline to publish one blog post every day

I wasn’t sure either would work. But deep down, I knew one truth most people ignore:

The only job that can’t be replaced by AI is ownership.

And that’s what this blog became - digital ownership. One post at a time.

The Truth About Why I Started Blogging

I didn’t start blogging because I thought it was a good idea.

I started because I was drowning.

My life felt like it was cracking from every angle — business, home, finances. I was juggling 80+ hours a week just to keep it all from falling apart.

The people around me didn’t see the blog as anything special. Some even thought it was a joke.

“You think writing online will get you somewhere?”

“You’re just a bus driver who blogs for fun.”

“You should focus on real work.”

But what they didn’t understand is this:

Blogging was the only place I had full control. It was the only thing that made sense when everything else felt like chaos.

And I knew if I kept publishing, something would eventually shift.

Because blogging is like investing - you don’t see the compounding at first. But once it kicks in, it’s unstoppable.

April 21: The Day It All Clicked

On April 21, 2025, I made a decision that changed my life.

That was the day I locked in my 20-year commitment to buy $50/day of MSTR - rain or shine, bear or bull.

But something else happened too.

I realized:

If I could build wealth from one stock, I could also build wealth from one blog.

That’s the day BakoInvest stopped being a side project. It became my second portfolio.

Not a hobby.

Not a dream.

A daily discipline.

From that moment forward, I treated every blog post as a share. Every post became a piece of digital real estate. Just like my MSTR position grows each day, my blog was now doing the same.

Why I Treat Every Blog Post Like a Share

Most people treat blog posts like content.

I treat them like units of wealth.

Here’s the difference:

  • A blog post can live forever.

  • A blog post can compound in traffic.

  • A blog post can bring income (via affiliate links, courses, brand deals).

  • A blog post can build trust, influence, and legacy.

That’s why I publish every day - not for likes, but for ownership.

The average blogger gives up after 30 posts. I’m aiming for 3,000.

Because every time I hit “publish,” I plant another seed.

And I’ve stopped trying to impress people who don’t understand that.

My Escape Became My Weapon

When everything around me felt out of control — arguments at home, betrayal, debt, distractions — blogging was the only thing I could rely on.

This blog gave me back my power.

While the people around me mocked it…

While I was laughed at for taking it seriously…

While I was investing into it without making a single dollar…

I kept publishing.

And now?

  • 90+ posts live

  • Google indexing my site daily

  • Organic growth happening slowly but surely

  • A clear monetization system already built in

Most people wait until something works before they take it seriously.

I take it seriously so it will work.

That’s the difference between a hobbyist and a builder.

How I Built My Blogging System

Here’s my exact system - no fluff:

  1. I write one 2,500+ word post every day

    → SEO-optimized, timeless, value-packed

  2. I post on X, Bluesky, and Stocktwits

    → Syndication for reach

  3. I embed affiliate links only after value is delivered

→ Like Robinhood, Webull, Acorns, and Coinbase

  4. I publish every Saturday a transparent MSTR update

→ Real accountability: See my weekly MSTR progress here

  5. I use my blog to build digital real estate

    → 1 post = 1 unit of ownership

What If You’re Starting from Nothing?

So did I.

I didn’t have funding. I didn’t have help. I didn’t have fancy tools. I just had:

  • A laptop

  • A clear goal

  • A system

  • Conviction

  • And Wix to host it all

You don’t need to be perfect. You don’t need to have an audience. You just need a reason.

Your future doesn’t care where you started.

It only cares that you started.

Why This Blog Will Outlive Every Social Platform

Twitter could disappear.

Instagram might fade.

TikTok might get banned.

AI might change how content gets consumed.

But you know what still works?

A blog with 1,000+ evergreen posts built around timeless value, real conviction, and SEO.

That’s what I’m building.

This blog isn’t a hobby.

It’s a blueprint.

It’s my proof that anyone - even a refugee-turned-bus-driver - can build real wealth if they’re consistent enough.

Let’s Be Real: I Almost Gave Up

There were days I felt invisible.

Weeks when I questioned the whole thing.

Nights when I stared at the screen wondering if this blog would ever matter.

But here’s the truth most people never say:

Most people quit right before it compounds.

I wasn’t going to let that be me.

Because even if no one believed this blog would matter — not even me — I kept writing.

And now?

Now it’s becoming my second income stream, my brand foundation, my legacy platform, and my favorite part of every day.

Recap: Why I’m All In on Blogging

  • Because this is the only thing that can’t be taken from me

  • Because I’ve seen what happens when you publish with consistency

  • Because my content is a form of digital equity

  • Because wealth isn’t built through wishes - it’s built through systems

  • Because MSTR is my financial engine…

  • …and this blog is the empire I’m building on top of it
