This post is part of my ongoing 20 year 50 dollars a day investing series in Strategy (MSTR). Each week I document the streak, the share growth, the portfolio value, and the discipline behind the system. You can read last week’s update here: Week 24 Strategy Investing Journey It Was Brutal but Worth It for Cheaper Shares.
Most people panic when the market turns red.
I didn’t.
But I’ll be honest, this week tested my confidence more than any week so far.
After 25 weeks of consistency, Friday’s sudden market drop triggered by Trump’s tariff tweet reminded me how fast everything can change. Strategy fell sharply in hours. My portfolio, which had just crossed $8K last week, closed the week at $7,288.
It wasn’t fun to watch.
It was intense, frustrating, and emotional.
But it was also proof that my system works.

The Shock That Shook the Market
The tariff tweet hit like lightning.
Traders reacted instantly.
Indexes dropped. Bitcoin slipped. Strategy followed.
It wasn’t about fundamentals. It was about fear.
The market does this. It overreacts first and rationalizes later.
But fear always creates opportunity.
And while others panicked, my automation quietly executed my daily $50 buy right on time. No hesitation, no emotion, no second guessing.
That is the power of building a system that works when you don’t.
The Contract I Signed with Myself
When I started this 20-year journey, I made a deal not with the market or the audience, but with myself:
$50 a day, every weekday, for 20 years.
No skipping. No guessing. No emotion.
This week tested that promise.
If I didn’t have automation in place, I probably would have hesitated.
But my rule kicked in before my fear did.
That is what conviction looks like.
What This Drop Taught Me
It is one thing to talk about buying the dip.
It is another thing to actually do it, especially when the dip comes fast and without warning.
This week reminded me that the future will not just test your portfolio.
It will test your patience, your identity, and your belief system.
You cannot time the bottom.
You cannot control the headlines.
But you can control your behavior.
And that is what separates emotional traders from long term owners.

Frustration and Opportunity
Yes, it was painful watching $800 disappear from my portfolio in days.
But it was also exciting because those $50 buys picked up cheaper shares.
Every dip speeds up my journey to 25 shares, my next psychological milestone.
And when the bull returns, these cheap weeks will be the ones that make me the most money.
That is the part most people never understand.
They quit during the drop and wonder later why others got rich.
Discipline Over Emotion
This week could have shaken my faith.
Instead, it reinforced it.
Because even when I questioned everything, the system kept working.
It bought for me when I might have hesitated.
That is not luck.
That is behavioral design.
And that is why I am building wealth quietly while others react loudly.
How I Stayed Grounded
When everything turns red, I remember three truths:
Every dip is temporary
Every buy compounds
Every rule protects me from myself
And this rule is my anchor:
If it is red, I stay calm. If it is green, I stay patient.
This is long term wealth in motion.
📈 My Current Stats (Week 25)
Portfolio Value: $7,288
Average Cost: $376.50
Confidence Level: Unshaken
What I’m Learning About Myself
I am no longer reacting to price.
I am responding with identity.
After 25 weeks, my brain expects to buy daily.
Fear no longer stops me, it fuels me.
Because I know what happens next.
Volatility creates opportunity.
Opportunity creates ownership.
Ownership creates wealth.
And I am not here to trade feelings.
I am here to build freedom.

The Moment That Defined the Week
Friday’s drop didn’t just move the chart. It moved me.
Not in panic, but in perspective.
It reminded me that I am training for the storms that destroy most investors.
If a tweet can shake your confidence, you do not have a system.
You have emotion disguised as strategy.
I have both conviction and automation.
That is why I slept well while the market bled.
The Lesson
Do not interrupt the system.
Let the market do its thing.
The brutal weeks teach you what wealth really takes:
Patience when everyone else is anxious
Calm when everyone else is emotional
Faith when everything feels broken
This week was a preview of the real crypto winter and I am ready.
Because discipline does not fear winter.
It prepares for it.
Final Thought
Feeling: Tested my confidence
Lesson: Do not interrupt the system
Moment: A teaching lesson for what is to come
I am 25 weeks in.
Still here. Still buying. Still calm.
The next time fear hits your feed, remember this, the market will recover faster than your emotions will.
Stick to the plan.
